Heartfelt gratitude goes out to everyone involved with the 1st Annual Forget-Me-Not Golf Classic that was held on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Hearthstone Country Club. Thirty-two (32) golfers participated in the inaugural event of the Gayle Wells Foundation for Early Onset Alzheimer’s & Care.
After demonstrating their amazing driving, putting, and chipping skills on the golf course, golfers were joined by others who attended the dinner & silent auction portion of the event. Scott Sutherland, emcee of the event, was joined by Andy Bradley in presenting the awards for the tournament. It is with great pleasure that we announce the winners of the 1st Annual Forget-Me-Not Golf Classic:
- 1st Place: Scott Washburn, Royce Molitar, Scott Stuart & Johnny Walker
- 2nd Place: Charleen Gallo, Beverly Poole, Veronica Silva & OC Costillo
- 3rd Place: Kay Metcalf, Trish Schmid, Bill Schmid & Deb Snyder
Contest winners included:
- Closest to the Hole: Scott Washburn and Carol Greenberg;
- Longest Drive: Scott Stuart and Charleen Gallo.
The dinner program included remarks from Kelly McCann, Program Director for the Houston and Southeast Texas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, and from Laura Sutherland, Executive Director for the Gayle Wells Foundation. A video of Gayle’s life was shown, which included photos of her journey through early onset Alzheimer’s disease.
